Have you ever wondered why some people seem to press on through seemingly insurmountable odds to get what they want? Or, putting it another way, have you ever seen people that have almost super-human discipline in pursuing their dream? Haven’t you wondered what makes them so different from the rest of us?
The reason for which something is done or created or for which something exists.
The difference is that they have purpose and passion. That is what keeps them going when most people would quit. It is also why some pursue their dreams and others never attempt anything beyond average. So why do some people have purpose and others don’t?
That’s the wrong question! The right question is “why do some people know their purpose and others don’t”, because we all have one.
Rick Warren’s book, The Purpose Driven Life, was a best seller for years and probably the most read book on the subject of Purpose. As he says in the video above, even he was surprised at its popularity.
I’m glad you asked. The desire to know your purpose—the reason for your existence—is a universal desire. I have to admit, when The Purpose Driven Life came out I was one of those that bought it hoping for answers. While it did a good job of saying that living a life of purpose was a good idea, I felt disappointed when I finished the book. It never addressed how to find your purpose. As with so many other “success” books it talked about how important purpose, passion, talent and desire are but offered no real help in finding those elusive, but life changing gifts.
Would you like to know how to find your purpose?
There is a step by step process that works for everyone. BUT before you can start that process you need to know what has been holding you back from discovering the purpose you were created to accomplish.
I have come up with 11 reasons why people don’t know their purpose. I will tackle each one and then show you how to find yours…so standby for more.
